Dental Implants

Dental Implants area a wonderful technological advancement that feel and look just like your own teeth. While high-tech in nature, dental implants are actually more tooth-saving than traditional bridgework, since neighboring teeth do not have to be ground down.

You know that your confidence about your teeth affects how you feel about yourself, both personally and professionally. Perhaps you hide your smile because of spaces from missing teeth. Maybe your dentures don't feel secure. Perhaps you have difficulty chewing.

If you have lost one or more of your teeth and would like to smile, speak and eat again with comfort and confidence, there is good news. Dental Implants are teeth that can look and feel just like your own!

Recapture the joy of biting into fresh, crisp apple again!

Reconstruction of the upper jaw by dental implants
being performed by Dr. Farnoosh in his office (1987).

The Following photos illustrates permanent replacement of a missing single tooth, two missing teeth and the entire upper teeth with Dental Implants which look, feel and function like natural teeth. Implants placed by Dr. Fanoosh.

Upper front tooth is cracked, infected and had to be removed. Two lower front teeth are also missing. Patient was having orthodontic treatment (braces) to correct her bite and also to create adequate spaces in lower front for placement of two implants.

Radiograph of upper front tooth showing infection and bone loss around the tooth to be removed.

The tooth is removed and replaced by immediate placement of an implant. While waiting till the implant fuses with the bone, patient's own tooth is used following extraction (next photo).

Patient's own tooth (crown and part of root) is temporarily used and attached to orthodontic wire to fill the space, to preserve the contour of the gum tissue and to avoid collapse and shrinkage of the gum tissue following extraction.

Final crown is placed on implant.
Looks, feels and functions like a natural tooth.

The lower front teeth were missing. Orthodontic treatment (braces) has been used to create adequate space to replace the missing teeth with dental implants.

Radiograph of the lower front teeth after placement of two implants.

Final crowns have been placed on the implants in lower front.
Please note black arrows indicate dental implants.
(one upper front and two lower front).

The following photos show various aspects of treatment & End result: Permanent replacement teeth that LOOK, FEEL & FUNCTION like natural teeth !!!

Patient has lost her upper teeth due to periodontal diseases, except for three which are also loose and infected.

Entire upper jaw has been restored using the implants.
